New railings have been purchased by the local council for the junction of Murgasty and Rosanna roads in Tipperary town. The junction operates as a busy school crossing serving St Anne’s secondary School, St Joseph’s National School and the Monastery National School. The council plans to install the railings at the next opportunity that offers suitable weather and school holidays.

Engineers have informed Cllr Anne Marie Ryan that the works will probably be completed  during the Easter holidays next year.  The Cllr had submitted a motion calling for an upgrade of the existing pedestrian crossing, safety signage, improved railings and road markings
