The Lough Derg Greenway is a proposed 24 kilometre long walking and cycling path that would connect the two locations. The details of the routes are available to view on the council website,  in the office of the council in Nenagh and in Killaloe Public Library.

There will be a drop in consultation session on Wed December  7th in the Lakeside Hotel & Leisure Centre, Ballina between 2pm and 7.30pm. The closing date for submissions is Thursday 12th January 2023.

Full details are also available on a dedicated project website loughderggreenway.ie. It is expected that there will be a formal planning application at a later date.
