Tipp Mid West Launches ‘Buy Local, Support A Community’ Campaign

Tipp Mid West Radio is proud to launch our ‘Buy Local, Support A Community’ campaign today.

The aim of the campaign is to encourage people to buy local ahead of Christmas.

The initiative will also highlight the additional benefits of supporting local businesses from boosting the local economy to maintaining and creating new jobs in the area.

Tipp Mid West Radio Station Manager Tom Hartnett says it’s been a difficult year but the resilience of businesses is truly amazing, this campaign is a reminder to us all to make those Christmas purchases in your local town or village.

Mr Hartnett says it’s great to have the Tipperary Town Marketing and Events Group and both Tipp Town and Cashel Chamber of Commerce associated with the campaign.

Tipp Mid West Radio’s Programme Controller Eoin O Donoghue says the message of Buy Local, Support A Community’ will be heard on air, and seen on our website, app and social media platforms.

Mr O Donoghue says as a local community radio station along a strong social media following, I feel we’re best placed to get the message out to a huge amount of people about the importance of shopping in your area this festive season.

The Tipperary Town Marketing and Events Group who are working in conjunction with Tipperary Town Chamber of Commerce say their delighted to be associated with the Tipp Mid West campaign and believes is imperative that all that is happening in Tipperary Town this Christmas is highlighted particular with the growth of online shopping.

The group is giving a number of great giveaways for shoppers who buy items in town between Saturday 10th until Thursday 22nd December. The customer will be automatically entered into the draw with the chance of winning a prize.

The Council is also delivering special parking arrangements for the month of December which vary from town to town.

In Tipperary Town there will be free car parking in all public car parks and two hours free on street parking between 9am and 6pm for the entire month.

In Cashel there will be free car parking on Saturdays in the public car parks.
