Gardaí in Tipperary are urging drivers to reduce their speed.
It follows monitoring by Roads Policing Unit on the M8 overnight where speeds of between 143 and 154km/per/hour were detected.
Several fixed charge notices issued as a number of motorists were in excess of 120km/h.
Gardai says speeding increases your chances of being involved in a collision and reduces your chances to react in the event of an incident.
