€200,000 Secured To Improve Tipp Town To Limerick Junction Walkway

A infrastructure improvement project for outside Tipp Town moves a step closer following a major funding announcement.

The 200,000 euro will be used to upgrade the existing Tipperary Town to Limerick Junction walkway and comes under the Department of Rural and Community Developments Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme

The project includes pathway widening and resurfacing, pedestrian safety measures and other improvements.

The development is part of a wider effort to develop a linear walking trail stretching from Soloheadbeg to the Glen of Aherlow.

The project is a key tourism action within the Tipperary Town Revitalisation Strategy and Action Plan.

The working group consists of members from the Task Force, Tipperary County Council, South Tipperary Development Company, Glen of Aherlow Fáilte Society, Solohead Gaa and Tipperary Chamber Of Commerce CLG has been established to drive the project forward.
