Tipperary’s People Before Profit rep Anne Condon is calling for people to attend the Raise the Roof housing demonstration on November 26th in Dublin in order to send a clear message to the government that they need to tackle the ever-growing housing and homelessness crisis. People Before Profit are calling for the government to implement a ban on evictions; action to bring rents back to affordable levels, and deliver social and affordable housing at scale. The latest report from letting website Daft.ie reveals that the average rent sought for a home nationally was a record 14.1% higher during the period between July and September than it was during the same three months last year.
