Cashel Mother Raises The Lack Of Healthcare Services For Her Son

A Cashel mother is describing her experience of access healthcare services for her son as like playing ‘ping-pong’

Caitriona Plisha says her 11 year old son Rian’s diagnosis is complicated as he has the eating disorder Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, autism and anxiety.

Ms Plisha says their biggest challenge is getting access to healthcare as the waiting list can be 2 to 3 years.

Rian’s mother says she’s concerned that each passing day is one that is being lost on her son’s health.
