Ulster Bank Announces Closure Date For Thurles Branch

The Ulster Bank branch in Thurles will close on January 13th.

Before that 12 branches will close at 1pm on January 6th 2023, these branches are located in counties Louth, Roscommon, Kildare, Wexford and Dublin.

At 1pm on January 13th twelve other branches will close alongside Thurles – no other Tipperary branch has been listed as of now.

All of these locations will reopen as branches of Permanent TSB shortly after the Ulster Bank closure.

Customers must make arrangements to move their accounts to a new banking provider and close their Ulster Bank accounts.

A vulnerable customer support line is available at 1800 656 001 every day between 8am and 8pm – there is a charge for these calls from phone service providers.

Ulster Bank along with KBC Bank of Ireland intend to cease all banking operations in Ireland next year.
