Tipperary Town is set to light up with Christmas lighst next month following uncertainty in recent weeks.
The town Chamber of Commerce Committee held an emergency meeting last Friday about the prospect of festive light this year.
It’s believed a small group has been set up to organise the logisitcs along with a public fundraising campaign to combat the high energy costs.
The Chamber had circulated a notice that it was not possible to have Christmas lights this year due to a shortage of funding, businesses under pressure from rising energy costs and the lack of a team of personnel to lead the project.
