439

Drivers and households are advised that works on behalf of Irish Water are to begin today at the Bansha Road roundabout as the N24 leaves Tipperary town.

The works will mainly take place between 7pm and 6am and are expected to be in place until the end of November.

The project involves the replacement of problematic watermains infrastructure in advance of the N74(Cashel Road) roadworks (due to start after Christmas).

The works will also involve the replacment of water connections on the public side for homes/businesses close to the roundabout.

These works will cover approximately 40 metres each side of roundabout (Bank Place/Bansha Road/Cashel Road) and include the water infrastructure at the roundabout also.

There may be short-term water outages during the works, Irish Water say affected customers will be given a minimum of 48 hours’ notice before planned interruption to supplies.

Shareridge Utilities is the contractor working on behalf of Irish Water.

No precise details of any road diversions have been made available as of now – information about the project was released late on Friday evening by Irish Water.

The customer care section of Irish Water can be contacted on 1800 278 278 24 hours every day.
