75 Patients On Trolleys In Tipp Serving Hospitals


There are 508 patients on trolleys in the nation’s hospitals today including 15 in TUH in Clonmel. 

UH Limerick reports a total of 60 patients experiencing delayed admission – 36 on trolleys and a further  24 accommodated by adding trolleys to wards.

The CEO of the hospital Group, Collette Cowan told an Oireachtas committee last week that this practice had ended as the efforts of the HSE support team led to improvements within the hospital.

There are 80 patients receiving care on a trolley in Cork UH while 50 patients are being cared for on trolleys in UHGalway.
