Over 25,000 residents are under a Boil Water Notice in County Tipperary.

Those areas supplied by the Galtee Regional Public Supply (issued Sept 5th) and Glenary Public Water Supply (issued Sept 13th) are impacted.

This includes Emly, Lattin, Ballinard, Cullen, Ballywire, Kilross, Limerick Junction, Monard, Lisvarnane, Rosadrehid, Bansha, Tankerstown, Kilfeacle, Golden, Cashel, Rosegreen, New Inn, part of the town centre in Clonmel, Cashel Road, Cahir Road, Ring Road and surrounding areas.

The decision is being taken due to elevated turbidity in both affected treatment plants and is in place to protect public health.

All consumers affected by this notice must boil their water before drinking.
