Gardaí in Tipperary Town are out in force as part of a national operation identifying drivers using excessive speeds.
Gda Rodion Bessonov performed a checkpoint yesterday morning which also invovled identifying those not wearing seatbelts and other offences.
This day of action is in line with the commitments of Tipperary Town District to decrease road fatalities and to improve awareness amongst road users.
It follows 101 death so far on our road this year, the message is clear slow down.
