Tipp Mid West To Broadcast Funeral Of Dillon Quirke

Tipperary Mid West Radio will broadcast the funeral mass of Dillon Quirke tomorrow morning at 12 noon from St. John the Baptist Church in Clonoulty..

People will be able to listen to the Mass on 104.8 and 106.7FM on the radio and also online at tippmidwestradio.com.

Dillon is reposing in his residence (E25 A257) this evening from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Senior Hurling captain for Clonoulty Rossmore and Tipperary Senior Hurling died suddenly on Friday night after collapsing during a match in Semple Stadium.

Although only 24 he had secured many titles winning a Harty Cup with Thurles CBS, Minor and U21 All Ireland with Tipperary and a county senior hurling title in 2018 with Clonoulty Rossmore.

Tipperary Senior hurling team Manager Liam Cahill said in tribute that Dillon’s name would have been the first name on the teamsheet for the next intercounty campaign.

He is remembered for his outgoing and friendly nature with many sports coaches praising his approach to teammates and training.

His parents operate the highly successful Townhouse Deli business with outlets in four Tipperary Towns.

Dillon Quirke worked as an electrical estimator with H&MV engineering. 

Mr Quirke was also remembered at Croke Park yesterday in a minutes silence observed before the Senior All Ireland Camogie Final.

Tributes have been paid by the President, The Taoiseach, President of the GAA, Thurles CBS,  local public representatives, community groups and GAA clubs and county boards nationally and internationally.
