10 People From Pallasgreen To Cycle For Charity In Kerry

Ten cyclists from the Pallasgreen area are undertaking a two day fundraising cycle in Kerry today and tomorrow.

To celebrate a milestone birthday local parish priest Fr Tomas O’Connell and 9 local men have been training for months in preparation for the 179km trip.

Embrace Farm is their selected charity and the group have set up a go fund me page to enable donations.

Embrace Farm offers a support network for farm families who have lost a loved one or suffered serious injury in a farming accident.

The cycle will take place over 2 days, the 25th and the 26th of July. Day 1 will commence in Killorglin and will end in Kenmare.

Day 2 will see the second leg as the group set out from Kenmare and will finally complete the event that evening back in Killorglin.

The group are also to mark their return with an Irish Night to be held in the Idler bar in Knockane on Friday night July 29th.

The group comprises Justin Phelan(Nicker), Pádraic Phelan(Nicker), Maurice Barrett(Old Pallas), Noel Buckley(Clonmel), Jack O’Dwyer(Pallasgreen), Dick Ryan(Pallasgreen), Ray Kennedy(Annacarty), Michael O’Connell(Knockane), John Butler(Templebraden) & Fr Tomás O’Connell (Pallasgreen & Templebraden parish).
