A new monthly market event is to be launched in Thurles next week by Tipperary TD Michael Lowry.
The market is a new initiative led by 3 local women and will be located in the Thurles Town Park Car park.
The market will run on Saturday and Sunday with the first event taking place on the weekend of July 16 and 17th.
The market will operate under the name Blue Skies Craft and Food Market.
Traders have the option of participating on both days or just one and the operating hours will be from 10.30am until 4.00pm.
The official opening will take place on Saturday morning July 16th.
The area is to be subject to major redevelopment in the coming years as part of the Thurles Market Quarter project.
A design for this has yet to be completed and the council does not expect construction to begin until late 2023.
