Boil Water Notice Lifted For Residents On Fethard Public Water Supply

572

Irish Water has lifted the Boil before use notice on the Fethard Public Water Supply. The boil notice remains in effect on the Galtee Water supply but sampling is continuing on the Galtee water supply with the aim of lifting the notice this week, if safe to do so after consulting the HSE.  Customers supplied by the Fethard Public scheme were put on a notice on 29th June and this is now lifted with immediate effect.  The notice was originally issued as a precaution due to issues at the Fethard Regional Water Treatment Plant, affecting the treatment and disinfection process. All consumers on the Fethard Public Water Supply can now resume normal use of the water supply for drinking, food preparation and brushing teeth.

The Irish Water Customer Contact Centre can be reached  at 1800 278 278 and further information is available on www.water.ie.

Irish water customers near Darcy’s cross are advised that mains repair works may cause supply disruptions today. This area is located between Rosegreen and Clerihan. Works are due to be completed by 4pm. Irish water are also carrying out repairs as part of the National Leakage Reduction programme to mains pipes in the Glenconnor area of Clonmel. These works will take place between 5pm and 9pm tonight. Irish Water recommends that customers  allow 2-3 hours after the estimated restoration time for supply to fully return.
