The Blood Transfusion service is reporting a low stock of certain bloods with only 2 or 3 days stock on hand in some cases.
The service has 2 days supply of B negative and 3 days supply of O negative.
Three other blood types are also running scarce with just 4 days of A positive and 5 days each of A negative and O positive on hand.
There are 7 and 8 days worth of stock of B positive and AB negative and positive on hand.
The service will be holding a blood donation clinic in Clonmel for 6 days starting on Monday July 11th.
The clinics will be held in the Hotel Minella and will operate on July 11th to 14th and again on July 18th and 19th.
The clinic is by appointment and those willing to make a donation are asked to call 1800 731 137.
The clinics are scheduled for the afternoon and evening each day.
