The Church of Ireland is to sell the Deanery in Cashel by public auction today.

The Auction will be held at 3pm the Cashel Palace Hotel.

The property located at Boherclough Cashel comprises a residence with 8 Bedrooms, 5 bathrooms totalling circa 4050 square feet and sits on an overall site of  9.66 acres.

The Deanery House,  was constructed in 1790 and is a two-storey limestone-built residence, and since the 1960s was the official Rectory/Vicarage for Cashel Church of Ireland Parish.

The property is also known as Maryville.

The land is currently in use for agriculture but is zoned in the Cashel Town Plan.

The lands themselves are a mixture of walled gardens and field paddocks, a number of  outbuildings and out offices are located in the Courtyard area including two Boiler Houses, a Fuel Shed, Store area and the Walled Garden.

A condition of the sale is that the title “Deanery” will not be used in connection with the property in the future.
