A local business man has described the situation at Dublin Airport over the weekend as a circus.

Passengers intending to depart on Saturday and Sunday Morning faced delays of several hours to reach the terminal doors and then get processed through security.

An estimated 1000 passengers missed their flights due to the delays.

Martin Mannering, owner/operator of the Bicycle Engineering Academy in Pallasgreen revealed that an investor that was due to visit on Wednesday has now cancelled their visit.

The Minister of State with responsibility for the airport, Hildegarde Naughton, is to meet with Airport Management this morning.
