Concerns have been raised about the safety of the Plaza in Cashel according to a local county councillor.
Sinn Fein’s Tony Black says the main concern is regarding the safety of children on the Plaza during events.
There was concern about the proximity to the road and the potential for a child to run out and motorists not having time to react.
Councillor Black is calling for railings or barriers at the location as part of the proposed designs being prepared for Cashel town centre.
Mr Black says the safety of pedestrians must be to the forefront of any plans or proposals.
