The proposed route for the N24 upgrade between Cahir and Oola is to be announced on May 23rd.

The project is being led by ARUP consultants and public representatives are to receive a briefing before the details are made public.

A total of 50 possible route combinations were published last year and this has meant planning applications in possible route locations were delayed.

A series of meetings with impacted land owners will be held shortly after the route is published.

Campaigners in Tipperary Town have sought the construction of a bye pass for the town to be given priority when construction begins.

A planning application will have to be completed before any work can begin and it is not expected that the formal planning application will be submitted before 2025.
