Tipperary County Council has issued a call for unused Musical instruments in any condition.

The public are invited to donate any unused instruments as part of an initiative related to the Circular Economy.

The focus is on the reuse of the instruments or to use them for spare parts to contribute to global sustainability.

Tipperary County Council’s Play It Again Instruments Project will involve the collection of any instruments at the 5 civic amenity sites across the county  – these are located in Donohill near Tipperary town, Roscrea, Nenagh, Carrigeen Business park in Clonmel and Waller’s Lot near Cashel.

A local musician will be engaged to check and test the instruments before they are passed on to new homes.

Those that are beyond repair will be kept and used for parts. Once ready, instruments will be re-distributed to a variety of community organisations
