Emergency Repairs To Be Carried Out On West Tipp School

Department of Education is to fund emergency repairs works for St Brigid’s NS in Donaskeigh.

The project involves improving the drainage systems and the school outdoor play area.

The paved surface has become unsafe in recent times causing falls and stumbles.

The school Principal Ms Mairead Sheedy and Martin Daly the chair of the BOM submitted an application for funds on grounds of health and safety.

The school caters for boys and girls and will be closed tomorrow as 19 students will make their Confirmation in Knockavilla Church at 11am.

The funding approval has been welcome by local Oireachtas members Jackie Cahill and Garret Ahearn.
