Ten new jobs are to be created by Calibration Technology Ltd., based in Birdhill, Co. Tipperary.
A new facility has been opened by the Tánaiste Leo Vardakar which will enable the company to expand its calibration services for the pharma and life science sectors.
The expansion will see the staff numbers increase to 30.
The company is a subsidiary of German company Eppendorf and it provides accredited calibration services for laboratory dispensing equipment including Eppendorf’s pipettes which are used by labs to test PCR samples for covid-19.
The company’s new range of services will include calibration, validation and repair to all brand and models of pipettes and multi-channel pipettes.
The company also offers a calibration service for analytical balances and weights.
