Two municipal districts in County Tipperary have been added to the Fáilte Ireland Hidden Heartlands Tourism Brand.
Changes announced today will see all the Nenagh Municipal District and part of the Thurles Municipal District included in the Brand first developed in 2018.
In addition and with immediate effect Counties Cavan, Westmeath and Offaly will sit wholly within the Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands brand and will no longer be part of the Ireland’s Ancient East brand.
Fáilte Ireland seeks to promote Ireland abroad under 4 brands these are The Wild Atlantic Way, Irelands Ancient East, The Hidden Heartlands featuring the middle portion of the country and Dublin as 4 distinct tourism Experiences.
The Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands brand is centered around Ireland’s natural rural beauty, relaxation, and untouched heritage and outdoor activities and today’s announcement is designed to give visitors a more cohesive visitor experience in the area and is expected to strengthen the overall tourism offering.
