Vast Majority Of COVID Restrictions End Tomorrow

The government’s have announced the end of the majority of covid restrictions from tomorrow morning (6am)

Main Points:

The 8pm curfew for hospitality and night life sector will end. Pubs, restaurants and nightclubs will be able to operate to normal trading times.

There will be no limited capacity on indoor or outdoor events.

Limits to households meet ups will cease.

There will be a phased return to the workplace for employees from Monday.

People will no longer need a vaccine passport to access indoor activities but it will remain for international travel.

A number of measures will remain in place until end of next month.

These include wearing of mask and the advice on close contacts, symptoms and positive cases will remain and be reviewed.

The Taoiseach says the country has passed the omicron variant peak and that our world class vaccination programme has meant there’s been less impact on our hospitals.
