Tipperary GAA are to hold an event today to launch FBD Insurance as the company involved in a naming rights deal with Semple Stadium.
A number of Tipperary players across all four codes will be at the event and the development comes as part of a strong commercial focus on the enhancement of the county’s GAA brand.
Tipperary GAA Commercial Advisor Liam O’Shea has made a number of recommendations regarding the commercial development of Tipperary GAA.
A new jersey sponsorship is understood to be imminent.
The stadium naming rights deal is part of a wider commercial development plan that will also include investment in new hospitality and catering facilities; a structural update of Semple Stadium, GAA tours, a multi-media library and museum in Semple Stadium; the creation of Tipp GAA TV channel and a new commercial plan for the stadium that includes major concerts and Féile events.
With FBD Insurance supporting Tipperary football and hurling championships in the county since 2019 and backing the camogie championship since last year, this alliance is seen as a strong fit and it is understood that the naming rights deal with the Stadium is a long term deal.
