Tipp TD Says Government’s Word To Revitalise Tipp Town Rings Hollow

A Tipperary TD believes Government Ministers expressed commitment to revitalising and regenerating Tipperary town ring hollow.

Sinn Fein’s Martin Browne comments come after the exclusion of Tipperary town projects in yesterday’s RRDF allocation of €21.5 million nationwide.

Deputy Browne says “It is another example of how the promises that are continuously given to Tipperary town are not kept  – referencing the omission of Tipperary town by pass from the NDP.

He had written to  Minister Humphreys seeking an explanation of her decision to disregard Tipperary town’s three projects and also says he will be raising it with her in person at the earliest opportunity.

Meanwhile March4Tipp have called on community members to raise the matter with elected representatives noting that over 84% of the yesterday’s allocation went to constituencies with either a Minister, a Junior Minister or that had multiple Government TDs.

County Tipperary has one TD that is a member of a Government party and 4 others that are on the opposition benches.
