Almost 8% Increase In New Tipp Car Sales

There’s been almost an 8% increase in drivers getting a 2021 Tipperary registered car compared to 2020.

That’s according to the Society of the Irish Motor Industry who say that 2,711 cars were registered in Tipperary in 2021 compared to 2,513 the previous year.

However new car registrations for the Premier county haven’t recovered to pre-pandemic levels.

Nationally the statistic shows a 19 percent increase in car registrations between 2021 and 2020.

Electric cars continue to rise in popularity with over double the amount of new car registrations nationwide between 2020 and 2021.

The most popular three new cars in Ireland are 1.Toyota 2.Volkswagen and 3. Hyundai.
