Independent TD Calls For Tipp Town Bypass Funds To Be Delivered Without Delay

Independent TD is calling on the government to give an indication that the new bypass for Tipp Town would be funded without delay.

Deputy Mattie McGrath suggested if possible the new bypass would footprint the N24 Cahir to Limerick Junction road.

Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Michael McGrath says he’s aware of the need for a new road for Tipp Town.

Minister McGrath says that the National Development Plan is not an exhaustive list of everything that will happen over the next decade.

He also hopes to see the plan for the road developed to a point where it could absorb capital funds.

Separately, the Director of Services for roads in Tipperary County Council Marcus O Connor informed the November council budget meeting that the final route for the N24 Cahir to Limerick Junction project will be selected sometime after Easter 2022.
