Finally, Tipperary town sheds its littered status of recent years and is deemed Clean, according to the latest An Taisce IBAL Anti-Litter league report.
The report says, with seven sites getting the top litter grade , a few deserve special mention – The Excel Centre, Tipp Town Shopping Centre Car Park, Kickham Place and Public Park at Emmet Street / Redmond Square were not just good with regard to litter but very well presented and maintained.
By far the most heavily littered site will comes as no surprise – Main Street from Bank Place to Davis Street. The red building at Bank Places has been highlighted in many previous IBAL litter surveys and much of the litter along Main Street was associated with the myriad vacant / closed down / dereli ct properties.
