Martin Browne Welcomes Local Interest In Cashel Public Realm Consultation

Deputy Martin Browne, the Cashel based TD has welcomed the huge interest shown in the Cashel Town Signage Strategy & Public Realm consultation which began yesterday.

Teachta Browne said there is a lot of interest being shown in how to make the best of t he Plaza and the centre of town, adding that “If this is done right, the additional footfall would make inward investment in hospitality and the services industry more attractive. Deputy Browne said he would cont inue to support proposals for a covered area on the Plaza for music, the monthly pedestrianisation of John St to the top of Main St for a market, the provision of hackney and taxi ranks on main St and a walking and cycling lane that would begin at Brosnan’s Corner, looping back into town via the bypass.

Deputy Browne thanked Tipperary coco and failte irealnd for the event yesterday and reminded people that there will be a consultation portal open on the Council website from today until September 10 th . The Paul Hogarth Company has been commissioned by Tippeary Coco to deliver the proposal with an application for planning expected by late October .
