According to a recent Irish Times report, Dublin city is the 5th most expensive city to rent in all of Europe.
The findings report that, according to global mobility expert ECA International, the city saw an overall increase in rental prices of €119 per month in 2020. The average rental cost of a three-bedroom home in central Dublin is now €3,713 per month (over €44,500 per annum – far in excess of the average Irish earner).
This means that Dublin is far more expensive to rent than even those European cities which are generally viewed as being expensive, in terms of cost-of-living and tourism prices, including Rome and Berlin.
London maintains its position as the most expensive location in Europe to rent, and is also the fourth most expensive city to rent in the world.
