Happier times: Prince Harry has flown home to the UK to attend the funeral of his Grandfather, Prince Philip

British newspapers have reported that Prince Harry has returned to Britain from his California home, for the funeral of his Grandfather, Prince Philip, who passed away on Friday. It is belived Harry will spend his time in the UK at Nottingham Cottage.

Under a provision in the law, which entitles mourners to leave quarantine, on compassionate grounds, Prince Harry will be entitled to attend his Grandfathers funeral. Harry’s wife, Meghan Marckle, who is pregnant with the couple’s second child, has not flown from the USA to attend.

It is the first time the 36-year-old prince has been in the UK since last March, when he stepped down as a senior working royal for a new life of personal and financial freedom in the US, and follows a the broadcast in recent weeks of highly publicised and controversial interview with American TV legend, Oprah Winfrey, in which the couple were highly critical of the Royal Family, and in which references to racism within the Royals was alluded to.
