€3.8 Million Raised For Major Irish Charities Last Weekend

The Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland have announced that €800,000 was raising during its week-long fundraising appeal which concluded on Sunday evening. Last night saw the screening of programmes around the theme of dementia on Virgin Media TV, including the highly acclaimed “Finding Jack Charlton”, which included Jack Charlton and his family’s experience with dementia.

Meanwhile, the Irish Cancer Society announced on Saturday that their efforts on RTE’s “The Late Late Show” had raised €3 million in funds for the organisation, on what would have been Daffodil Day, nationwide, in normal times.
