Three Tipperary Landmarks To “Go Green” For St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

The Office of Public Works (OPW) in association with Fáilte Ireland and the St. Patrick’s Festival Organisation has announced details of the “greening” of Heritage sites and State buildings for the duration of the 2021 St. Patrick’s Festival. The St. Patrick’s Festival celebrates St. Patrick’s Day both nationally and internationally.

The OPW has included Cahir Castle, the Rock of Cashel and Ormond Castle in Carrick-on-Suir in their St. Patrick’s Day plans to “Go Green” to mark the National holiday this year. Heritage sites and State buildings around the country are being lit up for the duration of the festival between March 12th and 17th.
