Declan Burgess Calls For CCTV To Be Used Against Illegal Dumping

Cashel Councillor, Declan Burgess, has a motion before the plenary session of Tipperary County Council next week. The motion calls on the council to ask the Minister for the Environment, Eamon Ryan, to change the law and amend the Litter Pollution Act 1997, and the Waste Management Act 1996, to provide a clear and consistent statutory framework to allow Local Authorities to use CCTV to deter illegal duping.
