Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man, aged in his 30s.
Gardaí from Clonmel were called to a sports field on Western Road, Clonmel at approximately 10pm on Thursday night, where a man was receiving medical treatment. The man was brought to South Tipperary General Hospital but was later pronounced dead.
A post-mortem is scheduled to take place at University Hospital Waterford on Saturday. The scene has since been preserved for a technical examination and Gardaí are gathering CCTV from the area.
There is no suggestion of foul play at this stage of the investigation.
