Dome in Thurles to be venue for Covid-era council meetings

Tipperary County Council meetings could soon be held in the Dome in Thurles due to social distancing guidelines.

Since social distancing guidelines were implemented, video conferencing facilities have been used.

Preparations are now being made to hold council meetings at the Dome in Thurles, as it can accommodate more people – while adhering to social distancing guidelines – than either council chamber in Clonmel or Nenagh.

Should the new location be approved of by councillors at a special meeting next week, then the Semple Stadium venue will hold its first council meeting on Friday, June 26th.
