Confirmed Covid-19 cases rise to 12,547 – Tipp total 237

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has confirmed that a further 38 people diagnosed with Covid-19 have died.

29 of the deaths were in the east, six in the west and three in the south of the country.

The latest deaths bring to 444, the number of Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland.

657 new cases of the virus have also been confirmed by Irish laboratories, while an additional 411 cases were also confirmed by a laboratory in Germany.

In total, the number of cases of Covid-19 confirmed to-date in Ireland is 12,547.

237 cases of the virus have now been diagnosed in Co Tipperary (figures relating to Monday, April 13th). For Limerick the figure is 285.
