Total Covid-19 cases rise to 11,479 – 41 additional deaths

41 people diagnosed with Covid-19 in Ireland have died bringing the total number of deaths here to 406.

The latest data provided by the HPSC shows that of those who have passed away, 16 were female and 25 were male.

The median age of today’s reported deaths is 85.

31 had underlying health conditions.

548 new cases of the virus have also been confirmed, while German labs that are testing a backlog of Irish samples have confirmed an additional 284 cases.

With these figures taken into account, the total number of confirmed cases in Ireland is 11,479.

Co Tipperary now has 219 cases, while Limerick has 265.
