Online supports available for people living with heart failure

582

The Irish Heart Foundation has launched an online support network to help people with heart conditions deal with the current crisis and the restrictions that have come with it.

It is estimated that 90,000 people in Ireland live with heart failure and those patients are classed as an ‘at risk group’ by the HSE.

To help them through the challenges they face at the moment, the organisation has launched a new online forum that will allow clinical nurse specialists to share information and advice with patients.  That forum is available at  facebook.com/groups/heartsupportnetwork/

Due to social distancing guidelines, all in-person support services for people living with heart disease and stroke have been moved to online and phone support.

The nurse support line is available five days a week (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) to people living with heart disease and stroke.  The phone number is 01 668 5001 or you can email [email protected]
