An Post is asking households and businesses to ensure their disinfection routine includes their letterbox, doorbell and exterior door handles.
The appeal has been made to ensure the health and safety of staff who endeavour to ensure that Ireland’s supply chains keep on running.
An Post is also noting that customers are no longer being asked to sign for mail deliveries requiring signature. Instead the postperson will sign to confirm the delivery in the presence of the customer.
Customers are also being advised that flight cancellations to and from an increasing number of countries is seriously impacting international services.
