12 new gardaí have been assigned to Co Tipperary, following their graduation from the Garda Training College in Templemore yesterday.
Of the 12 that have been assigned locally, 4 have been stationed in Tipperary town, with the remainder at Clonmel and Thurles Garda stations.
Making the announcement, Superintendent Derek Smart said that this will allow An Garda Síochána to increase the capacity of a number of specialist units such as the divisional drugs unit and the protective services unit.
