Individual Farmers prepare to demonstrate in Dublin tomorrow

The group calling themselves the Individual Farmers have said today that they still intend to travel to Dublin tomorrow to highlight the challenges they say are being faced by the agriculture sector and rural communities.

The grouping brought tractors to the streets of the capital towards the end of last to year highlight their cause.

They have told Tipp Mid West today that despite the current Dáil term coming to an end today, they still intend to hold a demonstration outside Leinster House to demand that progress is made on the price they receive for beef, alongside other issues they say are holding back farming and rural communities.

The demonstration will also coincide with the visit to Ireland of the new European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
