Thieves target five cars in Tipp town and Emly in one night

A number of cars were broken into in Tipperary town and Emly in the course of one night this week.

Between 9pm Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday morning three vehicles were broken into in the areas of the Galbally Road and An Duiche, Scallaheen, Tipperary town. A fourth vehicle was broken into in Galtee View, Emly.

A fifth car was stolen but was subsequently recovered by gardaí.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have seen any unusual activity in these areas on Wednesday night or Thursday morning to contact them at Tipperary town garda station.

Gardaí say that two males, one of slight build and the other said to be tall and of strong build, are being sought.

Gardaí are appealing to the public to ensure they lock their cars and take the appropriate measures to ensure they are secure and that no valuables are left inside them.
