Whirlpool is recalling 11,000 Hotpoint and Indesit washing machines.
The recall is being carried out due to fire safety risks related to machines manufactured between October 2014 and February 2018.
The recall does not affect Whirlpool-branded machines.
The issue involves a flaw with the door-locking system that could lead the machines in question to overheat and potentially catch fire.
