There was good news for Cahir last night when it became the National Category winner in the Bank of Ireland Enterprise Town Awards 2019.
The announcement was made at the awards event in the Lyrath Estate Hotel in Co Kilkenny.
The town received the award for towns with a population of between 2,000 to 5,000 people. But that was just one award the town received at the ceremony last night. Earlier the town was awarded Regional Winner status.
The purpose of Bank of Ireland’s National Enterprise Town Awards is to recognise how local areas across Ireland, bring business and community groups together to showcase their efforts to build an economically sustainable community.
