€5 million contract signed for initial phases of N24 improvement scheme

A €5 million contract has been signed for the planning and design phases of the N24 Cahir to Limerick Junction Road Improvement Scheme.

The contract has been awarded to Arup and Partners Ireland Ltd as technical advisors to carry out phases 1-4 of the N24 Cahir Limerick Junction project which was identified in the 2018 – 2027 National Development Plan.

These phases comprise of Planning and Design, Concept and Feasibility, Options Selection, Design, and Environmental Evaluation and Statutory Processes.

The contract is worth €5 million and will provide the design for the 30km scheme.

The contract was signed yesterday at a meeting attended by the Chairman of the County Council, Michael Murphy, the Chair of the Tipperary Cahir Cashel Municipal District, Michael Fitzgerald, and the CEO of the County Council Joe McGrath.
